Dr Ben Hunt
Dr Ben Hunt is a Cardiologist with further clinical training in Cardiac Electrophysiology
Ben attended Mt St Patrick College, Murwillumbah for high school. He moved to Brisbane to complete a Bachelor of Science followed by a MBBS at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, from which he graduated in 2002. Ben registered as a Cardiologist in 2009, having completed advanced training at the Princess Alexandra and The Prince Charles Hospitals.
In 2011 Ben completed a two-year fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Canada. During this time, Ben performed Atrial Fibrillation/SVT ablations and complex device implantations and extractions.
Ben’s interests include atrial fibrillation, heart rhythm disorders, ablation of arrhythmias and implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators.
When not at work he loves hanging out with wife and four children and playing guitar when he finds the time!
Rebecca Read
As our Practice Manager, Rebecca oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic and supports both patients and staff to ensure everything runs smoothly. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment and genuinely enjoys building lasting relationships with patients. Whether greeting familiar faces or welcoming new ones, Rebecca takes pride in making everyone feel comfortable and cared for.

With extensive experience as a medical receptionist, Shan provides warm, professional, and efficient support to patients and the clinical team. As Dr Ben Hunt’s secretary, she is known for her calm and reassuring manner and takes pride in ensuring his day runs smoothly and efficiently

Dave
Dave is an experienced and friendly cardiac nurse with over 11 years in the field, including roles in cardiac telemetry, critical care, and interventional cath labs. Known for his compassionate approach, Dave is great with patients and has a strong interest in cardiology diagnostics, medications, and ECGs. He holds a Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Cardiovascular Nursing.
